1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Iceberg SOS mobile application (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Iceberg SOS is an emergency alert application that allows users to:
- create an account
- add trusted emergency contacts
- send SOS alerts
- share critical information during emergency situations
When an SOS event is activated, the Service sends alert messages to selected contacts using available communication channels (such as SMS, email, or messaging platforms).
These alert messages typically contain a short notification and a link to a secure webpage with additional information provided by the user, which may include identity details and current location.
During an active SOS event, updated information (including location) may be made available through this secure link until the user stops the SOS or it ends automatically.
Iceberg SOS is not a replacement for police, medical, or other official emergency services.
3. SMS and Communication Use
By using Iceberg SOS and enabling communication features, you agree that the Service may send messages to your selected emergency contacts on your behalf.
These messages are triggered only when you manually activate an SOS event or perform a test alert.
You confirm that you have obtained consent from your emergency contacts to receive such messages.
The Service does not independently verify recipient consent.
Message and data rates may apply.
Recipients may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.
Message delivery depends on third-party communication providers and is not guaranteed.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- provide accurate information
- use the Service lawfully
- not misuse the SOS feature
- not send alerts without valid reason
- ensure your contacts are aware of being added and receiving alerts
You are responsible for how and when you use the Service.
5. Emergency Disclaimer
Iceberg SOS does not guarantee that emergency contacts will receive or respond to alerts.
We do not provide police, medical, or legal emergency services.
Information (including location) may be delayed or inaccurate.
Use of the Service is at your own risk.
Always contact official emergency services when possible.
6. Account and Data
To use the Service, users may provide:
- name
- A-Number
Users can delete their account at any time within the application.
Upon deletion, personal data is removed from active systems, though some technical logs may be retained temporarily for security and compliance purposes.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features may require a paid subscription.
Payments are processed through Apple In-App Purchases and are subject to Apple’s policies.
Subscription management, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple.
8. Service Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Iceberg SOS is not liable for:
- missed or delayed alerts
- message delivery failures
- inaccurate or unavailable information
- actions or inactions of emergency contacts
- technical issues or service interruptions
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if these Terms are violated.
Users may stop using the Service and delete their account at any time.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
We reserve the right to make changes without prior notice.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws.
