During onboarding, users are presented with a dedicated consent toggle:

"I agree to send and receive emergency SMS alerts via Iceberg SOS. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."

User-Initiated Emergency SMS Usage

SMS messages are only sent when a user manually triggers an SOS event or sends a test alert by tapping the blue SOS button on the "main" screen. This is a user-initiated, one-to-one communication system, not a marketing service.
